The P.O.E. Water Filter System eliminates unwanted substances from water. Designed for use with a water softening system or as a point of entry water filter, the P.O.E system is fully automatic and self-cleaning. We have many different types of media available to treat specific water issues, such as taste, odor, color, sediment, pH correction, iron, manganese and other impurities.

Is an In-Out manifold head that can be connected in and up or down flow configuration. It also features a top fill port head for easy media loading. The entire valve is molded from glass-reinforced Noryl for exceptional strength and durability.

Birm Iron Scrubber
The Iron Scrubber stores a bubble of air, within the media tank. As your water passes thru the air, the iron or sulfur is converted to a particle which is then trapped by the catalytic filter media in the tank while the air bubble is gradually consumed by the passing water. During regeneration, the unit first backwashes any oxidized iron particles it has trapped to drain. The system then replenishes the air bubble by drawing in oxygen from the atmosphere.

Birm® is an efficient and economical media for the reduction of dissolved iron and manganese compounds from raw water supplies. It may be used in either gravity fed or pressurized water treatment systems. Birm® acts as an insoluble catalyst to enhance the reaction between dissolved oxygen (D.O.) and the iron compounds. In ground waters the dissolved iron is usually in the ferrous bicarbonate state due to the excess of free carbon dioxide and is not filterable. Birm®, acting as a catalyst between the oxygen and the soluble iron compounds, enhances the oxidation reaction of Fe++ to Fe+++ and produces ferric hydroxide which precipitates and may be easily filtered. The physical characteristics of Birm® provide an excellent filter media which is easily cleaned by backwashing to remove the precipitant. Birm® is not consumed in the iron removal operation and therefore offers a tremendous economic advantage over many other iron removal methods. NOT INTENDED FOR H2S REMOVAL!!
Manganese Greensand Filter
Manganese Greensand is formulated from a glauconite greensand which is capable of reducing iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide from water through oxidation and filtration. Soluble iron and manganese are oxidized and precipitated by contact with higher oxides of man-ganese on the greensand granules. The hydrogen sulfide is reduced by oxidation to an insoluble sulfur precipitate. Precipitates are then filtered and removed by back-washing. When the oxidizing capacity power of the Manganese Greensand bed is exhausted, the bed has to be regenerated with a weak potassium permanganate (KMnO4) solution thus restoring the oxidizing capacity of the bed.

Why buy two units when it can efficiently be done with only one!
Normally you would need one system for the reduction of chlorine, chloramines and other Volatile Organic Contaminants and a second for hardness, scale and lime build up.
The ELIMINATOR-N has two tanks with only one control valve to accomplish both of these functions in one unit. The Water Specialist Control Valve is a 6-cycle control with a double backwash feature and conditioned water pre-brine refill. Available in ¾”, 1”, 1¼” and 1½” inlet and outlet. These features reduce bridging allowing the unit to work better with potassium. The ELIMINATOR-N offers optimum regeneration, cleaning ability and efficiency.

Arsenic Reduction System Features
ARSENIC REDUCTION/FLUORIDE REDUCTION MEDIA
We use Purolite A400E anion resin, this has been proven to reduce Arsenic to safe levels. The arsenic MUST be in its oxidized state witch is Arsenic V, if the Arsenic is type III then it must be chlorinated to convert it to type V.
Nitrate Reduction System Features
We use Purolite A520E anion resin, this has been proven to reduce Nitrate to safe levels. The resin is regenerated with Sodium Chloride or Potassium Chloride just like a water softener.
